DETAILS
Recruited as an assisting member in the summer, I was initialy tasked to design 2 promotional banners and helping in conceptualizing the YWIB promotional video. As other members became more busy with their course load, I was assigned additional events to design for.
The bulk of the communication was done primarily online with the design team and executives. In terms of programs used, Illustrator was the main software that I worked on for layouts and Photoshop was used minimally for colour correction.
SOCIAL MEDIA BANNERS
Each banner was designed to be displayed in at least 3 different social media platforms, which are: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Different files and format were created to acomodate the resizing of the different platform. Pictures used were either from the club's resources or from Flickr and Google Images.
My design process for the banners start with following the colour scheme or mood suggested by the executives and then showing them the work in process for confirmation and reiterations.

PROMOTIONAL VIDEO
In this project, I was mostly involved in the ideation and researching of how to present the video in a way that is engaging and inspiring. Through brainstorming we agreed that the video format should be presented with no dialogue but with moving texts and icons that match the music.
During the filming process, my role was to scout locations, and to assist the videographer with filming and equipments while the executive meeting was taking place .
RECRUITMENT PACKAGE
The package contains information for positions being offered in the planning committee of the International Women's Day event. The colour scheme for this year's package is pink and purple. As requested by the executive, flowers were added to each page as decoration motifs.

REFLECTIONS
While helping at the club has developed my design skills, I've come to realize the importance of communication. As revisions and requests were often suggested by the executives, I had to learn to communicate my vision clearly to them and to understand theirs within the given deadlines.
